THE STRETCH MARKS OF GOD…
My first peek beyond the borders of Mulberry, Texas was to Mrs. McIntire’s first grade class at the old Booker T. Washington School on the east side of Bonham, Texas. Changes were about to be made in my life that I could not understand… and being from the deep woods of Mulberry change is the last thing that you want. Everyday for six weeks I would run to visit my aunt and sit in her class.

Give me my rice and beans for the day, let me slop the hogs at night and I am a happy and content camper. IS THERE MORE TO LIFE THAN THAT?. But God had other plans for me that were much larger than chasing Jackrabbits, catching ornery crawdads, and chewing on sour-dot weeds. He had the world on his mind and he still does; and when that is the case the desires of Heaven always trump the comfort of living in Mulberry.

As a missionary if you would check the stamps on my suitcase and passport, you would see the handiwork of God and his sense of humor of taking me from Mulberry and my aunt’s class to the ends of the earth to share his gospel. Beloved this is called the “SANCTIFICATION PROCESS”…it is God’s training grown…as well as where he stretches the saints to fit into his eternal purpose. Selah!
